Important Notice: MathorNOT is an AI-powered math verification tool. Results may not always be accurate, especially for complex or ambiguous problems. Always double-check important work. Do not rely solely on AI verification for exams, assignments, or any high-stakes situations.

1. Acceptance

By using MathorNOT, you agree to these Terms.

2. How It Works

MathorNOT is a client-side web application. You provide your own Groq API key. All processing happens between your browser and Groq's API. There is no MathOrNOT server.

3. NOT a Substitute for Learning

MathorNOT is NOT a substitute for:

Actually learning and understanding math concepts
A teacher, tutor, or math instructor
Doing your own homework and problem-solving
Careful manual verification of important calculations
Professional mathematical or engineering work

Do NOT submit AI-generated answers as your own work without understanding them. Use MathOrNOT to check your work, not to replace the learning process.

4. No Guarantees

Math verification may be inaccurate due to:

Blurry or poorly lit photos of math problems
Handwriting that is difficult to read
Complex or advanced mathematical concepts
Ambiguous notation or problem statements
AI limitations in solving certain problem types
Misinterpretation of mathematical symbols

A "Correct" result does not guarantee the verification is accurate. Always verify important work independently.

5. Your API Key

You are responsible for your own Groq API key and its usage.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use MathorNOT for:

Cheating on exams, tests, or proctored assessments
Submitting AI-solved work as your own without understanding it
Automated bulk queries or API abuse
Any purpose that violates academic integrity policies

7. Limitation of Liability

MathorNOT is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

Incorrect math verifications or solutions
Academic consequences from relying on AI verification
Any decisions made based on tool results
Errors in step-by-step solutions
